1. Basic Policy

ImgTools (referred to below as “this site”) handles information collected as necessary to provide the service appropriately and strives not to use it unnecessarily beyond the stated purposes.

2. Collection of Access Information

This site performs its own access analytics to improve the service and understand usage. We may record information such as page views, tools used, number of images processed, processing results, referring host name, device type, and bot-detection results.

Raw IP addresses and raw User-Agent strings are not stored in the access-analytics database. Instead, irreversible identifiers generated from the IP address and User-Agent are used for purposes such as counting visitors. Raw access-analytics logs are generally retained for 30 days, after which daily aggregate data is used.

3. Cookies and Session Information

This site may use cookies or session information to maintain page state, implement security measures, and identify visits as needed for access analytics.

4. Handling of Image Data

Features Processed in Your Browser

For Resize Image, Crop Image, Rotate / Flip, Upscale Image, Adjust Image, Enhance Image, Text / Watermark, Image Layout, Blur / Mosaic, AI Face Blur, JPG conversion, WebP conversion, AVIF conversion, PNG conversion, image compression, metadata removal, and favicon generation, image processing generally takes place in the user’s browser and the images being processed are not sent to this site’s server.

Tools that support HEIC / HEIF input decode HEIC / HEIF in the browser before processing. The image data itself is not sent to this site’s server for that processing.

Remove Background

For AI background removal, selected images are temporarily uploaded to this site’s server for processing. Original images are deleted after processing, and generated individual transparent PNG files are deleted after the ZIP archive is created. The downloadable ZIP is also scheduled for deletion approximately five minutes after processing finishes.

For background removal, the source IP address is temporarily retained with the processing job in order to limit simultaneous processing from the same source and reduce server load. This information is used only to manage background-removal jobs and is deleted together with the job’s temporary data.

Data left behind when an upload or process is interrupted is also subject to automatic deletion after a set period of time.

5. Contact Information

We store the name, email address, inquiry category, and message submitted through the contact form for responding, verification, and service improvement. This information is retained for the period necessary to fulfill those purposes and is appropriately deleted when no longer needed.

6. Communication with External Services and Libraries

Some image-processing pages may load JavaScript, WebAssembly, AI models, and other resources from external CDNs or model providers in order to provide their functions. Current features may use libraries for ZIP creation, TensorFlow.js, UpscalerJS and upscaling models, MediaPipe and face-detection models, AVIF encoders, HEIC / HEIF decoders, and similar components.

When these resources are retrieved, information such as the user’s IP address and browser information may be sent to the provider. For features described as browser-based processing, the images being processed are not sent to those providers or to the ImgTools server for processing.

7. Disclosure to Third Parties

Except where required by law or in similar circumstances, we do not provide collected personal information to third parties without the individual’s consent.

8. Security Measures

This site takes reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access to, leakage, alteration, loss, or other compromise of collected information.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised in response to changes in the service, laws and regulations, or other circumstances. If there are material changes, appropriate notice will be provided on this site.
