What is ImgTools?

ImgTools is a free browser-based image toolkit for resizing, cropping, rotating and flipping, upscaling, adjusting and enhancing images, removing backgrounds, adding text and watermarks, creating image layouts, applying blur and mosaic effects, blurring faces with AI, converting image formats, compressing images, removing metadata, generating favicons, and more. No dedicated software is required—just select your images and choose your settings.

Available Tools

Resize ImageResize multiple images at once using pixel dimensions or a percentage scale. Crop ImageCrop images manually or by percentage, pixels, social-media aspect ratios, or shape. Rotate / FlipRotate images by 90° or 180°, or flip them horizontally or vertically. Upscale ImageChoose 2×, 3×, or 4× high-quality enlargement, with optional browser-based AI enhancement. Adjust ImageAdjust brightness, contrast, saturation, color temperature, hue, sharpness, and more. Enhance ImageImprove image clarity with noise reduction, sharpening, and automatic enhancement. Remove BackgroundAI detects subjects such as people, animals, and products and removes the background. Text / WatermarkOverlay text or logo images and position them freely on your image. Image LayoutArrange multiple images and text freely on a custom-size canvas and export them as one image. Blur / MosaicSelect multiple areas in each image and apply blur or mosaic effects. AI Face BlurAI automatically detects faces, and you can review and adjust the detected areas before processing. Convert to JPGConvert PNG, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, and other supported images to JPG. How Image Data Is Handled

Except for background removal, currently available image-processing tools generally process images inside your browser, so the images being edited are not sent to the ImgTools server. Even when external libraries or models are loaded for HEIC / HEIF decoding, AVIF conversion, AI face detection, AI upscaling, and similar functions, the image processing itself takes place in your browser.

Background removal is the only tool that temporarily sends images to the ImgTools server for AI processing. Uploaded originals are deleted after processing, and generated individual images are deleted after the ZIP archive is created. The downloadable ZIP is also scheduled for deletion approximately five minutes after processing finishes.

Supported Image Formats

Most image-processing tools support JPG / JPEG / PNG / WebP. JPG, WebP, PNG, and AVIF conversion tools, as well as Image Enhance, also support HEIC / HEIF input. AVIF is available as an output format in the AVIF converter. Supported formats vary by tool, so please check the information on each tool page.
